The Firm


Our vineyard stands on the 18th century site of a furnace (fornace) and hence the name. The particular nature of the clay soils, which are typical of the Predappio hills, means the land is particularly suitable for the production of sangiovese.

Following a long winemaking tradition handed down for three generations, the younger generation, who took over in 2005 with the construction of the cellar, have started a more ambitious project.

The favourable climatic conditions, accurate work in the vineyard, balancing both traditional and modern techniques and careful vinification processes, allow us to produce quality wines, focusing on a niche product.
